Description
in I believe the 3-01-2013 daily build it appears that * and - were flagged as invalid characters in the Display text field. I used these characters to quickly flag what the channel did.. ie use * if channel is a repeater.

If the radio can't display these characters, we can't allow you to store them in the radio. We have no control over the capabilities of the radio.

This one is probably my fault.
Chris, you know the radio to be able to show those characters because CHIRP let you set them in the past, is that right?

the radio does support * and - not sure why it the use of the characters was removed.
