Description

Sorry if I am not following this sites protocol. I am new here and if this is not allowed, please delete, or forward to the correct person/thread.

I have encountered a problem that may be minor, but seems enough to warrant some special attention.

Last week, I downloaded the CHIRP program for the 1st time ever. I used it, cloned several of my new radios, and restarted them, and shut them off since they seemed all ready to go.

Well, today, 7 days later, I tried to start the program, and a message came up saying I was out of date again and to download it from the same site I did it from before.

I got the original from: https://trac.chirp.danplanet.com/chirp_daily/LATEST/

I thought CHIRP had recently updated so I downloaded it again.
Thinking all went well, I load the CHIRP program and it tells me my version is not up to date all over again.
Per the website, I did not delete the old one and then reinstall. Now I have an issue with the program NOT updating properly.

NOTE: the attached image showing "CHIRP daily-20190817" is what version it still says I have, when I know there is a newer number "20190824" available.

I do believe the current setup is flawed and requires updating before it is released.

Also, Since I am not a programmer, nor am I tech savy enough to attempt to correct this issue, I do have a suggestion.
If I can make a reasonable suggestion: Have a button, or a way to simply download from inside the program itself, that would be extremely helpful.

You cannot update Chirp while it's currently running. So, if you decide to get a fresh version, close the currently running one first.
