Description
Got a dialog box saying the following when trying to download from the radio-
"Failed to communicate with radio: Unable to read block 00 expected 4 got 0"
It could be the aftermarket cable from Amazon, but anyone got any thoughts?

It looks like a cable issue, indeed. Please refer to these Wiki articles:
CableGuide
CableGuide FTDI OEM Cables
RTSystemsCablesAndMavericks (if you're running MacOS)
If there's no solution to be found in any of them, please read: How To Report Issues and provide a debug log.
Let us know once you found the problem. Thank you!

OK, it was a cable issue, but not the aftermarket cable from Amazon but the USB extension cable I was using.
Balance the rig on a chair so the short programming cable could reach the USB socket on the PC and bingo :)
