Could you please provide a debug log as described in the Wiki: "How To Report Issues"? Thanks!
The debug log in #7731 (a ticket like yours) suggests:
Try running the command
gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders > /usr/local/lib/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders.cache
to make things work again for the time being.
Try it and let us know.
(Disclaimer: I'm not using Macs myself.)

i'm a newbie to ham. oldie to mac.
running catalina.x.x
i successfully connected my newly installed chirp software to my new baofeng uv-5r using a $22 amazon cable. glad i did the better one.
heres the glitch: upon the first opening of chirp, catalina offered me two options.....move to trash or cancel.
I decided to open again. I then got 3 options.....the previous tw o and Open! Voila!
It's running fine as of now.
