This is a great radio. With 999 memories, it could very much use CHIRP support.

I connected to mine selecting "KG-UV9D Plus" as the radio. Seems to be working. Says the driver is in beta for now though, "proceed with caution."

Just a side note. I did a full reset on my radio before loading it up with CHIRP. Couldn't access any channels. Turns out a full reset can put it in a restricted mode, the solution is to power off radio, hold down "2" button, power on. It should say "Model2" on the display and you should have full access again. You may need to do this any time you do a full reset on the radio, this is not because of using CHIRP.

Thank you so much for this. Struggled for hours trying to get it to work. I factory reset it and thought I bricked my KG-UV9D MATE.
