closedFails silently when zero COM ports detected

Description
Start CHIRP, go directly to 'download from radio'.
...
Nothing happens.
Debug.log attached.
For additional information, Win7, trying to download from VX-8R with RT Systems USB-59 Cable.
Cable shows up properly in 'Devices and Printers' on PC.

try with latest daily:
http://trac.chirp.danplanet.com/chirp_daily/LATEST/can you verify you are able to read from the radio from the same pc from the same com port using different software (such as rtsystems)?

Didn't even think about this, but the RT Systems USB adapter doesn't create a Com port.
Their software accesses the USB device directly. As such, my system has absolutely zero com ports installed.
Perhaps this is why CHIRP is failing? It's looking for any/all com ports and finding zero or them installed?
Maybe put in a check for zero com ports and report a 'no com ports found' dialog box error in this case XD

Here's a more appropriate title. Sounds like an easy fix, but I don't know how I'd reproduce it.

Perhaps just temporarily disabling all com ports in Device manager in windows will cause it? The system should show 0 available com ports at that time.

That would require a Windows dev system, which I don't have :-)

The bug have been fixed in revision 2072 and is included in daily versions since build 234 03/10/13
Download from radio dialog is now displayed correctly with empty port list if no com port have been detected.
