This was pointed out on Friday. A patch was submitted right away. The next CHIRP daily build will have this corrected. In the mean time just keep programming it the opposite of what you want. It will then be correct with the new build.

This "reversed power" issue affects ALL models, not just the 5X3. I noticed the same issue when programming my 2501+220.

Mike,

It is hard to imagine that the power levels would be reversed and nobody noticed or brought it up for 5 months. But just the same, I just tested each of my BTECH UV-2501, UV-2501+220 and UV-5001 radios.

After downloading from each radio, the power levels shown in CHIRP matched the power levels in the radio. I edited a channel's power level and uploaded back to the radio. The channel in the radio matched the change in CHIRP. I then read each radio back. They still matched. Then I set them all back to the original value in CHIRP and uploaded back to the radio.

If you think my testing is in error, then open another issue. This issue is for the UV-5X3. Be sure to document why you think the power levels are reversed in the btech driver.
