Description

New UV-6R and prior BFF8+ experience with Chirp for years. The new UV-6R is being used with the 20170714 version. One issue I've noted is that when opening a saved image, I get prompted that it is not for a recognized radio and have to pick the uv-6r from a drop down list. I'm told to let you know if this works ok, and it does.

The other issue is that the power on message can't be changed to anything other than "welcome". No other issue noted. Some changes compared to my bff8+, such as the squelch mod does not have uhf settings in addition to the vhf settings. I assume this is no longer necessary. Cloning to the radio seems to proceed fine all the way to completion.
