Description

When I upgraded on both Mac and Windows 7 the only way I could download an older BF-888S was to revert to the older version 4 of the great software. It happens always on the newer version on both MAC and Windows.

I have attached the downloads that I have just created from my old Baofeng BF-888S (2015) using today's CHIRP daily build. One was using my desktop PC running Windows 10 Pro and the other used my Apple MacBook Air running Catalina.

How about adding a debug.log file and/or a screen captures of any errors?

I wonder if "download" here means "send to radio".

I have a similar experience with my older Baofeng 777 radio, except "download" from radio to computer is fine but "upload" from computer to radio doesn't actually change the radio settings. Using the Baofeng software v1.05 from https://www.miklor.com/BF888/ allows me to change the radio settings.

The exact procedure I was following was to download from radio, change CTCSS freq, upload to radio, then download again to verify.
