Description

I can not get Chirp to communicate with my IC 910H. I have the CT-17 cable from Blue Max. It does work downloading the programed frequencies from the 910 using the program Icom MEMS from https://vk4adc.com/web/index.php/software-projects/55-vk4adc-utils/49-icommems, so I know the cable is good. I use Chirp with my IC 208H and IC-2300H with no issues. Please advise why I cannot get Chirp to work with the 910H.

Thanks
Taylor Smith

What version of Chirp are you using? Support for the IC-910H was added in mid-2020, and has been working for me since then. When you say you cannot get it to communicate, what errors are you seeing? If you have a debug log, that would be helpful. Also, can you confirm that you have not changed the CI-V ID (address number) of the radio? Chirp will only work with the default radio ID.

I am using the latest version - I update almost every time I log into Chirp. What is the default CI-V ID? I will check that. Unsure what the errors were, it been since Sept since I tried Chirp with my 910H. Thanks for ypour assistance.

The default CI-V address for the IC-910H is 0x60. It can be changed using General Set Mode. See page 59 of the instruction manual for details.
