Model affected:
All models supported by the uv5r.py driver
I read the instructions above:
Description
Variations of the memory structure in various Baofeng UV-5R/UV-82 like radios can cause undesirable side-affects when swapped between radios (even if they are apparently the same model and/or firmware version). The regions of memory that can cause these issues were identified and are not proactively skipped during the upload process to prevent these issues that can occur whenever the "image" being uploaded did not come for the radio it is being uploaded to.
It has been realized that there are circumstances where the CHIRP user, while understanding the risk, needs to be able to upload all ranges. It would be nice for CHIRP-next to have this capability.
