Description

Chirp does not have support for Zonton 999G / Anytone 288 (the same rig just under different names).

Is there something that we, who are not directly involved in Chirp development help when new rigs are in question. Can we grab some serial communications or something so people who know how to interpret that data can work on it?

Sorry I left this issue marked as Bug (default) instead of New model. I have no means to edit and fix it.

  • Subject changed from Suuport for Zonton 999G / Anytone 288 to Support for Zonton 999G / Anytone 288

Most of us refuse to work on radios remotely since it's just not a good use of our time. You are welcome to offer to loan your radio to a developer for reverse engineering. Most of the models we support come from equipment loans. Further, you may find success in telling your vendor that you want CHIRP support. Import Communications has donated several radios to the effort, which works very well for continued support.
