CHIRP Next 02-24-2023 Btech-50V2 Issues

I read the instructions above:
Description
Windows 11 Home Vers. 22H2 64 BIT Intel(R) Celeron(R) N4020 CPU @ 1.10GHz 1.10 GHz 4GB RAM
Brand new Btech-50V2 mobile radio
- Changed the frequency and lost tone settings.(reprogrammed channel from simplex to duplex)
- Make changes to anything other settings (Basic, Advanced, Other) after making the selection from the drop-down box, you get an error message:
"Error applying settings"
Red circle with an 'X' Can't be between 179.9975 - 400.0000"
- Changed to static message in CHIRP but it doesn't reprogram the radio.
- Changed display colors in CHIRP but it doesn't reprogram the radio.
Files
Please provide an example of the steps needed to create the error. Attach the debug log file.

Okay. I performed a factory reset and uploaded the image that the radio shipped with back into the GMRS-50V2. Changes made in the MEMORIES tab are written to the radio.
No matter what I change in the SETTINGS tab, and upload to the radio, it is not written to the radio. I attached a screenshot of the error message when using CHIRP. I have attached the debug report. I can make manual changes via the front panel of the radio and they take effect. I don't know what more you need that I haven't provided. Thank you in advance for your help.
NOTE: I have requested a new radio from Btech. After keying a repeater thr audio stays on with a buzzing noise until you change channels or, some other action. If another station speaks, it is distorted and unintelligible. I don't know if these problems are related or not.

OK. Now I understand what you are describing and have duplicated the issue here. Now I can look in to the problem and hopefully come up with a fix.

The GMRS-50V2 only supports frequencies in the 130.0000-179.9975 MHz and 400.9999-520.9975 MHz. It appears that from the factory there are 2 of the VFOs have been populated with out-of-range frequencies. The VFO B frequency is set to 245.050250 MHz and the VFO D frequency is set to 350.625000 MHz. When you go to change a setting, CHIRP-next gives all the settings a quick check and is letting you know that it found an out-of-range frequency in VFO B.
You can do either of these things to put a valid frequency into these VFOs.
The first method would be to put the radio into VFO mode for both the B and D VFOs. The enter a valid frequency into both VFOs. Then you can switch them back to MR mode as desired. Don't forget to download the changes into CHIRP.
The second method would be to edit the frequencies in the B and D VFOs using CHIRP.
Settings -> Work Mode Settings -> VFO B frequency: {enter a valid frequency}
Settings -> Work Mode Settings -> VFO D frequency: {enter a valid frequency}

Jim,
Resetting the VFOs fixed all of the problems. I have stayed away from messing with the VFOs because I usually run everything in Channel Mode. I had no idea that the program would accept an out-of-range frequency setting and, what affect it would have on the radio set’s performance. Thank you for your patience and assistance!
