Are you asking to just be able to sort the memories for display purposes or actually sort them so they appear sorted in the radio?

both. If they are displayed ordered on the screen, then they would be ordered on the radio. Of course, when you order by name or by frequency, for example, the memory position for that record would change...

Well, "both" doesn't make sense, even though actually reordering them also means they'd be displayed in that order (of course). What you're describing is what I meant by "actually sort them". That's a different thing from just displaying them in a particular order while maintaining their positions. In CHIRP-legacy, you could change the order in which the memories are displayed, according to one of the columns, where the default was "by memory number".

Re-reading your original description I take "to record them on the radio ordered by some criteria" to mean you want to actually change the ordering.
