Software from TYT is windows only (and in Chinese): http://www.tyt888.com/WebEditor/UploadFile/2013427102936358.rar
Support on Mac OS X is my end desired state.
I'm actively working on adding support for this model. Download from radio is done, so now hacking on memory map.
Possibly collaborate w/ Jason Prosnitz on #343?

Whoops, meant to say TH-UVF8D. Looks like I may not have power to edit the ticket.

I've implemented all but the most esoteric features, so I think this is ready to be merged as-is. I've already seen a couple of people ask about it on the mailing list.

Is there any chance that this driver will be upgraded to support second bank?
Increasing the value of downloaded cells to 256 shows some data at the programmed cells but are faulty.
I'm not a programmer unfortunately :-(. Despite the good will, I can not modify this driver.

hello, I've noticed few issues with TYT TH-UVF8D support in CHIRP with some values, for example modifying the column for Skip with "S" values does not have any effect in the radio, also the channels with "S" in Skip column are not preserver in the same order if you insert a new row and save data to the radio.
another thing I've noticed is that the feature for "Tail Mode" is not present inside the "Settings" in CHIRP, but this option exists in the official TYT software in English inside "Optional Features".
