I have this radio TYT TH-UVF9 and I have started analyzing the memory format. I have made a radio support module that can read and write the channels. It is incomplete as of now, and it's largely a hack-up of the THUVF1 module, but "It Works For Me".
This particular radio is physically similar to the Baofeng UV-5RC, with a different display, and programmable functions that mimic the TYT TH-UVF1. Of particular interest to ham radio use is the ability to adjust the voice gain/modulation (I'm not sure which, they call it "VoiceSwing" in the TYT software) making it possible to eliminate the low audio issues that plague some of the other radios.
I can submit my preliminary work here if that's OK with the CHIRP developers, though I'd prefer someone confirming it doesn't brick their radio before distributing it.

Hey Mike,
I'm working on adding support for a TYT TH-UVF8D I recently acquired, and I'm hoping the two models might be similar. Can you share your WIP with me?
