The FT-8900 does accept 799 entries:

  • Saved an entry at 799 and downloaded from Radio
  • CSV imported 799 entries to Chirp
  • IMG file saved and reopened to Chirp with 799 entries
  • Able to load IMG file with 799 Entries to two different radios Windows7 laptop. Windows XP Laptop would error. Problem may be the laptop.
