Description
Currently, I'm trying to program my radio and have been 95% successful, except on some channels chirp prevents me from entering the data, giving an error 'can't find valid tuning step'.. I have about 10+ channels I want to save on frequencies that this interrupts with. However, I can manually save the station on the radio and it will appear in chirp, but it will prevent me from naming it.
- It lets me save the frequency manually through the menu, however, I can't edit it in Chirp (same error). These also seems to be a multi-unit error as I can't input these frequencies (through chirp) on my UV-87 either
Replicate Steps:
- Connect UV-5R
- Download from radio (img)
- Try to enter in a invalid frequency (ex: 456.238750)
- See error 1A. Save same frequency manually through radio menu (it works for some reason) 2A. Try to edit saved frequency (doesn't work)

Where does this frequency (456.238750) come from? It is not compatible with any of the radios available tuning steps. Frequencies manually entered into the radio's VFO must be step compatible. None of the frequencies listed in your attached photo are compatible with the STEPs available in a UV-5R.
For example, with STEP set to 2.5K (the smallest available on a UV-5R) and you enter the frequency from [53] in your picture (451.238), once you key in the final digit (8) the radio will automatically round up to the next STEP compatible frequency: 451.23875. Perhaps you are overlooking final 2 digits (75) because they are tiny digits just after the main digits (451.238) of the main frequency display.
So as far as I can tell, CHIRP is behaving as expected by not permitting the 10 frequencies in your list from being imported. The are not compatible with any of the radio's available STEP values (2.5K, 5.0K, 6.25K, 10.0K, 12.5K, 20.0K, 25.0K and 50.0K).

The frequencies are used by my job (licensed). Even if I try to enter the full frequency with it rounded up, it does not work in chirp. Additionally, when I save the frequencies manually, & they are visibly saved, chirp does not let me edit them. I was able to access them to name them using chirp legacy, however I would like to use the newer version.
