Bug #11116
closedTidradio TD H-3 "unlocked"

Description
New radio and using menu of radio, selection is HAM/GRMS/NORMAL. Selected normal which unlocks the radio. If in HAM or GRMS Chirp reads and writes. In "unlock" it will not read saying "Model Mismatch". I tried all 3 listings for TD H-3 in radio selection, I also tried other Tidradio models listed. My hope was to copy my programming of my TD H-8 unlocked to the TD H-3.

I had this same issue, but if you download the app "ODMaster" you can program using bluetooth. I simply programmed a single GMRS channel using OD Master and from that point on CHIRP will recognize and read/write the "TD-H3" model (unlocked version, not GMRS or HAM). I am not sure what flag the ODMaster programmning is changing but somehow CHIRP then recognizes the radio using that driver and it will work (but with the bugs already noted earlier such as power settings being wrong). Low=Low and Mid=High and High=Low. Despite the manual for the TD-H3 stating it is tri-power it is not, only dual power.
