Radio, Download from Radio
Port - Detected port when I insert the cable - This cable https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GRN8TLZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Vendor: Yaesu
Model: Tried both FT-857/897 and FT-857/897 (US)
(Describe what you expected to happen)
Connect to radio
(Describe what actually happened instead)
Error message:
Title: "Error communicating with radio"
Message: "Failed to communicate with radio: Unable to read block 01 expected 84 got 1"
(Has this ever worked before? New radio? Does it work with OEM software?)
New radio, no, I've never had one before to test.
I did try on two computers, one is Windows 10, the other is Windows 11.

Your debug log shows that nothing (of substance) is being received from the radio. You are doing the dance required to have those transmit right? I.e. put it into clone mode, click download on chirp so it's waiting, then press the button on the radio to start sending the image?

I used WireShark with USBPcap and I do see data, but only 1 byte... The
radio is in clone mode and says "Sending" then "Error". I've also tried a
radio master reset. Happy to do a screen share session if that helps as
well. I have a CHIRP development environment setup too, just learning
that. Was hoping to troubleshoot too.
I'm on the USA East Coast for time.
