Description

ALREADY PROGRAMMED THE RIG (UV-5R), BUT I FOUND A BUG. IN A CHANNEL MODE, DOES NOT ALLOW ACTIVATE THE FUNCTION PTT-ID TO "ON", ALWAYS REMAIN "OFF". IN MY CASE I NEED THIS FUNCTION BECAUSE ALL MY RADIOS ARE USED BY EMPLOYEES IN A COMPANY AND WE NEED IDENTIFY WHEN USED.

Jaime,

You can not edit a memory channel of the UV-5R from keypad. To change this (or any) setting via the keypad you would have to erase the channel and then program it back from scratch. This is how the radio works and not a CHIRP issue.

To edit the PTT-ID settings in CHIRP, you have to right-click the channel of the spreadsheet memory editor that you want to edit, select Edit and then change the settings in the "Edit Memory #n" menu that appears.

Hello!
Yes, this problem is TRUE. The Menu 19 (PTT-ID available settings=OFF,BOT,EOT,BOTH) is not available in Chirp.
This can be settable on each memory channel.
Please think again!

Thanks for precious work!
