Description
I travel all over the states. I have a lot of channels on my radio (Any Tone 5888 uv) with only 7 spaces to put custom names for Each channel is not working for me. I would like to just make the name of the channel the same as the call sign of the repeater. with 700 memory channels that is too much to remember what channel to use in what city I am in.
my fix is that I am going to print out a map with color coated repeater identifying linked repeaters and stand alone. and then I will put a label by each repeater with Location, Frequency, Name (call-sign) and then my radio channel number and with that thought, cause I have not done it yet. I thought How AWESOME would it be if there was an option to print within Chirp A CHANNEL GUIDE even a simple sheet of nothing but plain text would be great as a channel guide. if you was able to make something with a map of repeaters that would be even better. but I would really like a print feature added to Chirp.
I have looked through your list of things to do and fix I know this might not be your number 1 concern but I do feel it will be liked by everyone.
thanks for your time

Sounds like you are requesting two features:
Print the channel list. This is addressed in the FAQ.¶
Store lat/lon for each channel.¶
I can respect wanting to see repeaters on a map, but this is so far outside of Chirp's core mission (programming as many different types of radios as possible), that I doubt it will attract much attention from developers. I'll leave the issue open just in case.
