I've updated the fr.po file for tomorrow, thanks!

In terms of the untranslated strings, are you talking about things like File->New, File->Quit, etc? These are GTK stock items, which don't get translated in the same way. If you set your system environment variable LANG=fr then they should be translated properly. Some windows users in various locales have reported varying levels of success with this, though :/

Yes, I have the GTK problem. I will try, thanks for advice.

But some strings are really missing, for example :

  • UV5R instructions before downloading
  • "Query Data Source" menu
  • "Settings" tab instead of "Reglages" in French

This comes from the driver layer not the UI layer, which is why it's not marked. Adding translation support to the drivers is a larger effort that we've not yet started.

  • "Query Data Source" menu
  • "Settings" tab instead of "Reglages" in French

These are both likely bugs for all languages. Can you file a new bug for "missing translation strings" for the above two issues? This ticket is for the french translation update, and the above fixes are generic so they should get their own bug.

Thanks!
