Downloading from radio raises "Short read from radio error". I have found no workaround on this site that works

sorry if I am posting in the wrong place , but it is possible to use the chirp with the radio Anytone at5888uv model ? it is showing an error , not supported model

This was 6 years ago. I doubt it is still an issue now. However, I do not have this radio set up to be able to test this, and I don't have windows any longer.
