I would like to request support for the Yaesu FT-270R 2 meter HT.
Yes, it's a 2 meter only, but with 200 memories it would be nice to have added to Chirp.
This radio really rocks and is built like a brick.

I have managed to read my FT-270 with CHIRP by selecting VX-170 from the dropdown menu.
Will I experience any issues after I upload the image back to the FT-270 radio?

Yes, you probably will have issues uploading to an unsupported radio.

Why was the FT-270R "rejected" for development? Was there some reason that Chirp wouldn't work with "cloning" feature available on the FT-270R? If Chirp could be made to work with this radio, I would like to see it developed. Thanks, 73, Paul -- N4PD
