Description

Just like Jerry BUG#2747 07/21/2015 I get exactly the same response with my UV-B5. In CHIRP I get "RADIO DID NOT ACK PROGRAMMING MODE" Running Win 7 SP1. I have tried different cables and drivers etc the same as Jerry with the same result. Radio programs ok with factory software but I would much prefer to be able to use CHIRP it's a fantastic radio programming tool that I use successfully with my other Baofeng/Pofung radios. Thanks for all your work. BJ

I think I've fixed this. Here is a modded uvb5.py - you can try it in Windows by going to File>Load Module.

I will check it out. If it doesn't break support for the original radios with 29 menus, I will create a submit a proper patch.

It works for me. Unless someone beats me to it, I will try to make time to submit a patch this evening after work.
