Description

The Yaesu FT-2900 radio has the ability to "lock" the configuration, preventing the user from changing anything unless the radio is first unlocked.

If CHIRP tries to upload to a radio that is in a locked state, the upload fails, with an error message that says only "Radio did not ack ID".

I believe there is no way to make the software actually upload to a locked radio, but it is possible to provide some hints in the dialog box to make it easier for the user to figure out what's going on, so he can unlock the radio and try again.

During the upload process, the radio displays "-WAIT-" on its screen when it's ready to receive an upload, but it won't display this when it is locked. The upload instructions can tell the user to check for this "-WAIT-" prompt, and can tell the user what to do if it's not found. Also, the error message when failure happens can have some text added to tell the user to check that the radio isn't locked.
