Description
Hello,
will inform you KG-816/Wouxun is working to read and write memory by using Wouxun KG-UVD1P settings.
Only problem is that UVD1P uses only 128 Memorys and the KG-816 uses 199 MemoryĆ.
It should be a small thing to open 200 Memorys by the KG-UVD1P and rename it to KG-816 to work with the 816 complete.
Thanks and congratulations for the fine work
Best regards Stefan DO1ESZ

- Status changed from New to In Progress
- Assignee changed from Stefan Zugowski to Filippi Marco
- Chirp Version changed from 0.2.3 to daily
Please save the memory image from your radio and upload it to this issue.
I'm going to make changes to KG-UVP1P driver in, say, next week and it can be the right time to add support for KG-816.
Tnx

Stefan, is your radio locked to work only in the UHF range 400-470MHz?
Thanks for collaboration

Hey,
the KG816 is a Monoband Handheld, you can buy it as a 70cm or 2m
Version.
I own both of them and the behavior by programming is the same, means its not locked.
Best regards

Good, I need some more info before to start writing code.
Is the image you upload from the UHF one?
Is the freq range I extracted from the image correct?
Can you please send also an image taken from the VHF radio?
... ready to work for you ...

Morning Filippi,
The uploaded Image is from KG816 the 70cm Version, the Range is correct.
Unfortunally i ve send the 2m Version back to dealer for repair, untill now ive no memory file from the 2m radio
(was only a few Relay Frequencies on it), but i remember to read out and write with the Wouxun Version on Chirp perfektly (there were less than 128 Memorys programmed), but ive not store the img to disk, only checking if its work.
Hope this would be helpful
