Description

I select narrow bandwidth in workmode settings, but in Channel Mode the radio uses wideband. In frequency mode there is no problem. This is with UV-5R and UV-5RE Plus

Ric,

The workmode bandwidth setting is for the 2 VFOs (frequency mode) only. All of the workmode settings, except for the top 5, are for presetting values the VFOs.

There isn't a global setting for MR (channel) mode for 2 reasons.

1 The bandwidth menu 5 (WN) in the radio is "read only" in MR mode. It can only be used to determine what the bandwidth of a programmed channel is.

2 The bandwidth of the channels are all set on a per channel basis. So the bandwidth in MR mode is whatever value has been programmed into each individual channel.

See the "Reference for UV-5R Menus":http://www.miklor.com/COM/UV_MenuDef.php for more details.
