Description

Hi,

I am using the latest version of Chirp running on Ubuntu V15.10 O/S. This is the first time I have used Chirp on this radio. Previously I used the vendor software which, unfortunately, only works on Windows

When downloading information from the FT8800, whilst all memory information is received and the list of stations is shown in the left and right hand memory banks, the columns indicating which station is stored in each bank are blank.

Looking at the compatibility list it appears that this might be one of the unsupported features. If it is, please could you let me know if it is planned to support it in future. Otherwise advice on what I might be doing incorrectly would be appreciated.

I should add that I use the numbered memory banks extensively and the ability to move stations from one bank to another is important to me

It has been several months since I flagged this problem and, despite many software releases, there is still no solution it seems to the absence of this feature on the Linux/Ubuntu platform although the feature does exist on Windows.

Please could you advise me if there is an intention to bring the feature into the Linux/Ubuntu platform - or am I wasting my time waiting.

Kind regards

  • Status changed from New to Feedback
  • Target version set to chirp-legacy
  • Model affected changed from YAESU FT8800 to Yaesu FT-8800

This should be at least partially supported by now (however, with bugs).
Please check #1965 and let me know if you think it describes your problem.
In that case I will close this ticket and ask everybody to continue the discussion in #1965. Thanks!
