I can loan my radio, but only within USA so I will not have to pay customs duties to get it back. I may be able to assist using PortMon (part of the Sysinternals suite).

We could quickly try something. The VX-177 should be the 70cm version of the 2m VX-170, which is supported by Chirp.
Can you try to download from your radio using the VX-170 driver and then provide me with the debug log gathered during this test?

I have a VX-177 that I'd like to be able to program. Can I help get this one completed? Attached is my debug.log. Does someone need the actual radio to complete this?
