CHIRP

I have this radio and some coding experience. I would like to get it to work with Chirp also. I have cloned the KG-UV8D and did a find and replace, but still nothing. I have to delve a little deeper into this as time permits and see if I can find what the difference is on this radio verse the KG-UV8D. I would imagine there code and communication is similar. I just need to do some reading and hopefully find another developer that can give me pointers on what to look for.

I understand that this is the same radio as Wouxun KG-UV8E but with firmware that boots up speaking English instead of Chinese. Supposedly it is a USA model, if true, this request should be associated with that other unit which has offers of equipment loans and $100 of bounty offered at this time.

There is some promising development going on to support a couple variants of this radio including the KG-UV8T. As of last night I was able to download Pavel's dev driver and read and write to my KG-UV8T. I have not fully tested every facet of the driver so there might be some bugs as of this writing, but it is pretty darn close otherwise.
