Description

Unable to read radio using chirp settings for baofeng GT-3WP.
Getting the following Error: Error reading data from radio: not the amount of data we want
Able to read and write using the factory software so it's not a cable issue.
Radio firmware: BFB297

That firmware version tells me you don't have a GT-3WP. The GT-3 Mark II is a UV-5R variant (see this list of "UV-5R variants":http://chirp.danplanet.com/projects/chirp/wiki/Baofeng_UV5R_Variants).

Try the UV-5R model selection.
