Description
I can't get anything to work with my Baofeng GT5TP. All I am getting is error messages. Apparently something I am doing is wrong as all I get is error messages. Chirp does not recognize the model nor is there any programming info I can find on it besides manual programming. I am coming back to radio after being inactive for many years and find this quite frustrating.

Unfortunately Baofeng has started shipping radios with 3 power levels with a firmware version that for the last 2 years or so has indicated it is a radio with 2 power levels. Try UV-5R and if that works, then this is the problem.
