When the TX frequency is assigned directly by setting Duplex to "split", this driver currently always reverts to "+" or "-" and the difference (offset) between them. Duplex should remain set to "split" and Offset should remain set to the TX frequency when they each are in a different band.

This affects all mobile radios that are supported by the btech.py driver.

[UV-25X2*] Duplex "split" bug

This patch addresses a "split" bug that causes CHIRP to display a
memory as a shift direction/offset even if the RX and TX frequencies
are each in a different band.

  • this affects all mobile radios supported by the btech.py driver
