Hi Giuseppe,
CHIRP just needs to have the new MCU version added to the driver so it can recognize your radio. Please load this test module into CHIRP and try it out. If it works, then I can submit a patch to add permanent support for this MCU version to CHIRP.
Here is how you try it out...
1 save the attached test driver to where you normally save your CHIRP Radio Images (*.img) files
2 load CHIRP
3 click "Help" in the menu bar
4 enable "Enable Developer Functions"
5 click "File" in the menu bar
6 click "Load Module"
7 locate and load the test driver that was saved in step 1
Now you can try to download from your radio. Note that this test driver does not alter your CHIRP installation in any way. It will have to be loaded every time CHIRP is loaded.
Please let me know if this works for you or not.
When you are finished testing, don't forget to click "Help" and disable "Enable Developer Functions".

Guiseppe,
Yes. Now that you have confirmed that my proposed changes work, I will create a patch and submit it to be included in CHIRP. Then once it is accepted, the following CHIRP daily will support this new MCU version.
