Description
I have the Baofeng UV-82 DX radio. Which radio setting should I be using to connect to CHIRP?

According to the CHIRP Supported Radio Models list presented on the "CHIRP home/wiki page":https://chirp.danplanet.com/projects/chirp/wiki/Home, the UV-82HP is model that you would choose.
- UV-82HP/82DX/82HX (3 power levels) Also includes the GT-5TP
Hint: When you see multiple models listed as shown above, the first one listed is the one that you choose.

I just received a UV-82 DX, but am unable to connect to it - when I select UV-82HP it says "Incorrect "model" selected. I also have a UV-82 that I can connect to and program using the same PC, cable, and version of CHIRP. Is there something I'm missing?

Unfortunately Baofeng had been shipping UV-82 style radios that report themselves to CHIRP as being UV-5R style radios. Attach a debug.log file so it can be examined to see if this is the case for your radio.
