I read the instructions above:

Description

Using Chrome browser on Linux. Chrome version 65.0.3325.162

Discovered when I clicked into the 'Description' field of the 'New issue' page that a square of white overwrote the upper-left corner of the webpage -- size of the 'description' dialog area.

It may be strictly a Chrome issue (vs. your html) since Linux / Firefox doesn't have the problem. If so, can you submit a bug against the browser? I don't know enough about how you're doing the dialog html and for the browser folks to demonstrate, I think they'd need to set up a Chirp acct to get to the 'New issue' tab.

I'm unsure whether we can fix that: the website uses third-party software.
Anyhow - have you tried with newer versions of Linux Chrome?

I don't see any issues with Chromium v78 on CloudReady

Version 78.0.3904.113 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Chrome under Windows doesn't have the issue, I just checked. Maybe an updated Chrome helps?
Anyhow, this would be an issue with the software we use to generate the environment (Redmine). Probably not much we can do.
