The radio you have might not even work on the frequencies you "extended" it to: often, you can extend these frequency ranges on Chinese models, but the radio might be incapable of transmitting, receiving or both on the extended ranges.

If there are reports that the radio can do what you want, then we can keep this open as a feature request.
