Description

I have been using an earlier version of the software quite successfully with my Baofeng BF-F8 (using UV-5R settings). I just acquired a UV6R, and since it did not want to work with that version I downloaded today's build, which is giving me several different sets of errors. In the one case, I am using the chirpw that's in the package:

(process:6831): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.

This doesn't look like a complete debug log. It doesn't show which version of CHIRP you are using or which model you are selecting.

Please attach a complete debug.log file.

I will attach a debug.log file. Which version of CHIRP? The "latest" that I downloaded yesterday, when I found that the version I had been using on my earlier radio did not support the UV-6R that I just acquired. That's also what model I am selecting...

Actions #3

Updated by Bernhard Hailer over 4 years ago

  • Target version set to chirp-legacy
  • Chirp Version changed from 0.4.0 to daily
  • Model affected changed from (All models) to Baofeng UV-6R

Have you been able to resolve this on your own since you submitted this?
Have you tried with a recent version since you submitted this?
The debug log you attached says you were using 0.4.0, which is very out-dated - it didn's say much else. So if you could try again and provide a fresh log, then maybe that might provide some clues.

No more feedback by submitter. -
The attached debug log was not telling anything, because you didn't try to connect with your radio.
Let us know if this should remain open.
