[UV-6R] Add detection for BF230#2 images

This patch adds detection for the newly discovered BF230#2 "fingerprint"
in the CHIRP Radio Images (*.img) file from a Baofeng UV-6R.

Fixes #5839

Updated by Jim Unroe over 4 years ago

  • File uv6r_bf230#2.py added
  • Status changed from New to In Progress
  • Assignee set to Jim Unroe
  • Target version set to 0.5.0
  • % Done changed from 0 to 90
  • Model affected changed from (All models) to UV-6R
  • Platform changed from Windows to All

Your radio has a version that CHIRP was unaware of. I added it to the attached experimental driver module. Try it to verify that it works for you. If it does, I will submit a patch to be included in a future CHIRP daily build.

To use this experimental driver module:

0 close and reload CHIRP
1 save to where you keep you CHIRP Radio Images (*.img) files
2 click "Help"
3 enable "Enable Developer Functions"
4 click "File"
6 click "Load module"
7 locate and load the driver module saved in step 1

Now you should be able to load saved images from your UV-6R

Note: This experimental driver module does not permanently change your CHIRP installation. You must load it each time you load CHIRP and before you load files from your UV-6R.
