Description

I have been using CHIRP for a while with great success. One of my fellow firefighters just bought a Baofeng UV-9R because it is waterproof. The problem is that the programming cable is different. My CHIRP program doesn't recognize the cable. See the attached file. I am programming from a MAC.

The issue is probably due to either one or both of these issues.

  1. A compatible device driver for the USB-to-TTL chip in the programming cable is not installed in your computer.
  2. The connector on the programming cable is not properly connected to the socket of the radio.
