Description

When trying to get a list of DMR repeaters, from the latest release of the CHIRP program, for MAC, by going to:
Menu > Query Data Source > DMR MARC Repeaters
I enter various cities and states, but always get an error message:
Invalid JSON

Invalid JSON from http://www.dmr-marc.net/cgi-bin/trbo-database/datadump.cgi?table=repeaters&format=json. No JSON object could be decoded

This is the first time trying this feature, so I can not say if it worked before!

Assuming the new location for this data is ultimately here:

https://www.radioid.net/static/rptrs.json

the data is indeed invalid JSON. If you feed that data into an online JSON validator - for example:

https://jsonformatter.curiousconcept.com/

it spits out the error:

Error: Invalid encoding, expecting UTF-8

As such, Chirp can't be expected to deal with invalid data. I'd suggest taking it up with the people at RadioID, so that they're aware, and can correct their data so that it's valid JSON.
