Description

I am a new user and I appreciate the function of the Chirp program. I have some difficulty in removing an old version of the program to install the newer, which find works better. I have found just uninstalling does not remove all of the files and I must search around to complete that process. And, after installing a new version, it seems to take a rather long time for the program to respond when I select it to load on the first usage. After that it loads quickly. Just wanted to let you know. Not complaining, just for your information.

Hi John,

Just FYI, there is no need to uninstall one version before installing another. Just install the new version over top of the old one and don't worry about it. The uninstaller is auto-generated for us and leaves data files it thinks might be required for later.

I dunno about the delay on startup, but I'm not a windows user do I can't really comment. Maybe it's your virus scanner checking everything the first time you run it? I don't think it's specific to chirp :)
