If I get a firm offer to add Linux support for the AT-878UV I will endeavor to locate a loaner radio.

Does CHIRP support analog-DMR radios? I use my AT-878UV primarily for analog operations.

Doesn't matter. How DMR radios store their information is incompatible with CHIRP.
