closedNew software will not install
0%
Description
Tried loading new software and it will not load. Tried to revert back to previous version and it will not load either. It reports error opening file for writing. Tried ignore, retry, reloading, uninstall/reinstalling and turning virus protection off. I don't know enough to tell you what is happening. Windows 7 Pro.

Hi John,
Reboot your computer to make sure CHIRP is not running. Then try right-clicking the CHIRP installer file and choose "Run as administrator" to install CHIRP.
If it still won't load it is probably due to a corrupt "chirp.config" file being left behind. You will have to manually delete or rename the "chirp.config" file so CHIRP will create a valid one.
The "chirp.config" file is located in the same place as the "debug.log". The "How To Report Issues":https://chirp.danplanet.com/projects/chirp/wiki/How_to_report_issues page explains how to find the "debug.log" file.
