Thanks for the follow-up! Since I couldn't reproduce your issue, I had to be a little speculative about the best way to handle it. Since the comports function returns a generator, the actual problem pops up in an unexpected spot. I've pushed a change for tomorrow that should resolve it. I'm going to hold off on closing this until you verify, so please come back here tomorrow and let me know that it's working.
