closedChirp Crashes - Contacting as per Baofeng tech support

This is my first time on here and I accidentally assigned it to myself, so I reposted this. Sorry!
Hello I am contacting you after speaking with Baofeng tech support regarding installation of software.
First, I am on a Mac using Mac OS High Sierra version 10.13.6
I followed the directions on the Quick Start Users Guide that came with the cable. Since it did not automatically install the drivers needed, I followed the directions and manually added them. I then downloaded the latest build yesterday from chirp from and installed it.
I still have no luck. As you can see Chirp crashes per the photo below. I hope you can help me.
