Description

Hi there. My main OS is Linux Mint. I tried CHIRP, but when trying to communicate with the radio with the CHIRP software, in the drop down, the AT778UV does not appear there. However, I do have an old drive with Windows 10 on it. I tried CHIRP on that OS, and BANG!!! The 778UV is in the drop down, and it does read and write the radio. It would be sweet to program it using my main Linux machine.

Cheers
Scott

This is because the "python-future":https://python-future.org/ compatibility layer has not been installed on your computer. If you look at your debug.log file, you should see a "python-future package is not available" warning. There are currently 5 drivers that require the python-future package. The anytone778uv.py driver is one of them.
