Description

I'm attempting to program a non-standard repeater-shift into my FT-8800. In the CHIRP UI, when I type in the offset (x.575 MHz), it changes itself to x.55 MHz. Visually, it does not update on the screen as being at x.55 MHz. I noticed the issue when I went to Tx after doing the clone procedure. If I select that channel and go to properties, it will show x.55 MHz. If I set the x.575 offset under properties and click Ok, the offset in the CHIRP UI will change back to x.55.

I've been looking at the code, and can't determine if this is a radio limitation or a CHIRP code issue. For reference, my FT-1900 accepts this repeater offset with no issues (I wouldn't be able to program this repeater shift via the front panel on the FT-1900, but it works when using CHIRP). Also, I can Tx on the repeater input with the FT-8800, but that requires me programming a channel for input and switching to the output to listen.

I am on the latest version of CHIRP (20210814).
